Perfect Stocking Stuffers!

Monica Rich Kosann's byline is "Family is Always in Fashion." It not only applies to the exquisite black and white portraits 
featured in her latest book, The Fine Art of Family, but to the expertly crafted lockets and charms she fashions to hold memories of those who are dear to us.
Monica was recently featured in Town and Country Magazine and has her own boutique inside Manhattan's own Bergdorf Goodman. Like many of us in the jewelry business, crafting objects in precious metal was not her life- long dream. As a professional photographer, Monica was frustrated with the lack of quality frames and cases available to her clientele for housing the heirloom photos of their children and family members that she so lovingly captured. And so a new business was born!
Initially she manufactured handsome frames and keepsakes. But several years ago a client suggested they would like to wear their photos, but their were no lockets available of any quality or style. Bingo! A new collection of jewelry was born.
My favorite part of the collection is the Gate Series, which features a gate-like design in front of the first photo. These lockets can house 2 or up to 3 photos; perfect for mothers with more than one child or special pet. Until now, the only locket collection I have seen that could earn the title "heirloom," is a German line by Victor Mayer, famous for their license to make Faberge Egg replicas plus enamel lockets. Still, the Victor Mayer lockets are only made in 18kt yellow and white gold, and start around $1,400.00 for something very simple.
This is simply out of many people's price range for a quality locket.
Monica's lockets are available in sterling silver or 18kt yellow gold, so the price range is great, with single image silver lockets on a chain starting at under $210! The lockets come in a variety of finishes, including hand engraving, and they are solid and sturdy. Really built to last. The chains are of excellent quality as well, and I was pleasantly surprised how chunky the pieces are! No small, wimpy lockets or chains here. You're proud of your family and you're not going to hide them! (For those of you who don't like anything too oversized, there are plenty of diminutive pieces as well.)

Here Come Market Days!
You won't want to miss one of the most exciting in-store events we've ever had, next Wednesday and Thursday, October 21st and 22nd! I have two, new artists coming to the store and neither have ever been to Oklahoma: Sylva Yepremian of Sylva et Cie and Suzie Landa. I met both women at the Las Vegas Jewelry Market this June and knew we had to have their jewelry in our store.
Sylva was born in Lebanon and raised in Paris. Her father, a reknown jeweler for Cartier, decided to move the family to L.A. when Sylva was college age. She avoided the jewelry business early in her career, but her talent couldn't be denied and she was soon working with her father, designing state of the art, cutting edge pieces for his California clientelle. She recently started her own company, and her love of natural forms and vintage inspired jewelry is evident in her work.
Suzie Landa was born in L.A. and now lives in New York City. She began making jewelry for friends and family at the age of 5 out of pipe cleaners and telephone wire. Her passion for all things bright and shiny never diminished, but a detour to the film industry kept her from her true passion until she was laid off during a down turn. What an unfortunte blessing for her and the rest of us! Suzie rekindled her passion for metalsmithing and candy colored gemstones, creating unique, modern pieces that appeal to the self assured woman who isn't afraid of a little self indulgence!
In addition to these two trunk shows, I am emptying my vault of a dazzling array of loose gemstones, beads, bronze artifacts, and carvings and creating my own, mini Jewelry Market! Everything will be 40-50% Off, and you can hang onto any Treasures you find, or we'll make them up into something amazing for the holidays!

New Mizuki has Arrived!
It's been awhile since we've had Mizuki in our store, and both the gold and sterling silver collections are like a breath of fresh air!Mizuki Nagasawa was born in Japan and raised in New York City. She studied sculpture at SVA and moved to Soho after graduating. Her fine arts background and cool Soho style, combined with her Japanese heritage, are apparant in the sleek movement and visual power of her deceptively simple shapes.
Think "Naked Adornment," and you have Mizuki. Priced from $85.00 in silver and $495.00 in 14kt yellow gold, there is something in everyone's price range. My personal favorite is the white coral necklace and earring, pictured here, with the black diamond accents. Hope you like it too!

Shopping for an engagement ring or wedding band? You`re not finished if you haven`t stopped by my store! We have fabulous, new styles by Martin Flyer, Memoire, Christopher Designs, and others. What? You didn`t know I carried a wide selection of bridal merchandise? I`m not surprised. When I opened Naifeh Fine Jewelry eleven years ago it was as a lease department inside a women`s boutique, and there was no room for bridal merchandise. My focus was solely on fine fashion jewelry for women and custom design.
Now in our 7th year in our "new" location in Casady Square, we have an entire "bridal boutique" featuring a large selection of styles in white gold and platinum. Yellow gold "is back" in fine fashion jewelry, but it hasn`t made the swing to engagement rings yet. Perhaps everyone just decided that most diamonds look better in white metal! If you do prefer yellow gold, though, we have some fabulous, new bands currently in stock in 18kt yellow gold with diamond pave and any ring you see in white metal can be special ordered in yellow gold.
