Check it Out on Martha Stewart Weddings!

In 2008, we were priveledged to be a part of Carter Samis' wedding when her mother, Karen, commissioned us to make a custom necklace as a wedding gift for her daughter. The necklace, and a mention of Naifeh Fine Jewelry, is featured online at http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/carter-and-fred.
Check out all of the details of this fabulous wedding and don't miss the picture of the necklace (a branch-like "C" with a small bird perched on it), hanging from the bride's boquet, about halfway through the photo gallery. Congratulations to both families and to our own designer,Jennifer Duell, who helped Karen and her husband, Mike, with this beautiful project!

Have you heard the news? I just saw it on Yahoo! Colt McCoy, that cute blonde quarterback (except when he's playing against OU & OSU!) for Texas has popped the question and she said "Yes!" For all of you football players out there wondering how to pop the question, here's a proposal idea...and if you've already proposed, you need to enter my Perfect Proposal Contest!

Perfect Proposal Contest

Happy New Year! I've been away for awhile, mostly playing Santa Claus (or is that Missus Claus?!). I do appreciate everyone who allowed me and my staff to assist with their gift giving this holiday season. I especially want to thank all of you who found us online. One of our new clients is from the Los Angeles area; he found a picture his wife had printed off my website of some earrings I designed and had me make a pair for her. Very cool. Thank you!

Now it's time for our 4th annual Perfect Proposal Contest! I hope that all of you who are legal residents of Oklahoma will consider entering. It doesn't matter if you're married or engaged, we have a prize package for both! Every year we receive many inventive, heart warming, tear jerking, and good ole' fashioned engagement stories, making it very difficult to narrow the field to just 5 finalists in each catagory. In the coming weeks, I may just share some of my past favorites. This may give some of you men some ideas about how to propose! Lord knows my husband, Brad, wasn't that creative! He was so nervous about the whole proposal thing that he spelled my name wrong on the envelope containing a poem he wrote which was also a proposal! Thank goodness I'm "Valerie" and not "Valiere!" Oh, well, not to worry...I said "yes" anyway!
